Alexei Folger, senior systems engineer for FileMaker, Inc., provides high-level technical guidance to customers, and contributes to the development of future product direction. Previous to FileMaker, she was an engineering project manager for Apple Computer, where she directed complex, cross-platform software development efforts. Earlier in her career, she worked in computing support services at MIT. Alexei has contributed articles to Claris’ TechInfo Journal. She's an experienced speaker who has made numerous technical presentations, including DevCon keynote presentations and workshops. She is a FileMaker 9 Certified Developer.

Allen Imbarrato, is founder President of Ki Systems, Inc., which has been building FileMaker business solutions for the past 14 years. He is a FileMaker certified developer, that has created the KiBiz System. KiBiz (www.kibizsystems.com) is a business management and accounting solution that is being used by hundreds of companies in over 14 countries. Allen is a 14 year member of FileMaker Business Alliance, a 8 year member of the FileMaker Solutions Business Alliance (SBA) program, and one of the early members of FMDiSC. His KiBiz solution is used by manufacturers, retailers, distributors, equipment renters, contractors, service professionals, and small/home businesses. He has recently released KiBiz Mobile that runs on iPhone, Droid, or any web browser. In addition he just released his first iPhone app done for a client. Allen now focuses on managing custom database projects, running his company of 10 FileMaker Developers, and creating new software products.

For twenty years, he's led FileMaker solutions deployment as a developer, teacher, evangelist, author, and consultant for customers around the world. He's a veteran speaker, returning to FileMaker Developer Conference 2008 as a FileMaker Pro 9 Certified Developer and Authorized Trainer for the FileMaker Training Series track.

Bob Majors manages IT at a University of Washington department, providing on demand audio/video, and world-wide live television streaming media services, designed and built audio and video studios, supports educational technology efforts, runs FileMaker server and databases, and supports assorted other IT services. Bob has done graduate level work in educational technology at the UW College of Education, and is passionate about user experience. He has worked in audio production since the days of reel to reel tape and razor blade editing, produced foreign language material for Microsoft's Encarta and World Atlas, and worked on a major Hollywood movie. Bob was a member of FileMaker 7's ETS program, testing multilingual support, and has the Dragonland t-shirt to prove it.

David was honored in 2001 as a recipient of the FileMaker Excellence Award. He is co-founder and board member of FMDiSC, one of the premier developer groups in the United States. He is also a trainer on FileMaker Pro topics and was selected by Apple to train advanced members of the Apple Consultants Network. He is a tenacious customer satisfaction advocate and has retained many customers for a decade or more.

Jerry Robin, owner of FMPtraining.com, has been a FileMaker consultant for over 20 years and is a FileMaker 7, 8, 9 and 10 Certified Developer. Renowned as one of the top FileMaker trainers in the world, he has taught Relational Database Design classes since the release of FileMaker Pro 3.0, created the Stairway to Seven course for FileMaker 7 (with Geoff Coffey and Susan Prosser), authored and presented a phenomenally popular 18-hour FileMaker training CD series, and was a technical editor for FileMaker Pro 9: The Missing Manual. He has been a presenter at eight FileMaker Developer Conferences, and was rated one of the top speakers from 2000-2008. Who can forget the evening when Jerry won the FileMaker Millionaire prize at the 2001 DevCon in Orlando?

When he’s not doing FileMaker, Jerry performs standup comedy and is also the throwing half of an award-winning competitive Dog Frisbee team (with his Australian Shepherd, Dakota.)

Jonn Howell is the president of DataExperience, Inc., and has been developing solutions in FileMaker Pro since 1992. His personal goal is to create the most intuitive user experience in the world. His clients include: Apple Inc., Amgen, Genentech, Electronic Arts, Nortel Networks, Novell Corporation, Stanford University, and The University of California. He leads Bootcamp for FileMaker twice a year, and speaks at FileMaker groups such as FMPug on subjects such as database normalization, relational modeling, system architecture, development standards, business requirements, client management, documentation and interface design. Jonn manages a team of FileMaker and web developers from his office north of Los Angeles. He has a solid reputation in the bio-technical industry as a database system programmer, business analyst, project manager and developer. Formally trained as a robotics engineer, Jonn is also an accomplished graphic designer and professional sales trainer. Jonn received a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from San Jose State University. He is a FileMaker Business Alliance member, a TechNet member, an FMPug chapter administrator and a frequent speaker at FileMaker Developer Conferences. Jonn is a certified FileMaker developer in versions 7, 8 and 9.

He is a frequent speaker at FileMaker events including the FileMaker Developer Conference and Pause On Error, and the coordinator of the Dallas FMPug user group. In 2002 Kirk received the FileMaker "Mad Dog" award for outstanding evangelism of the FileMaker platform. A consultant with over 15 years experience, he has developed hundreds of FileMaker and web solutions for customers in multiple industries. His passion is working on systems integration projects to completely incorporate FileMaker into the IT landscape.

Laramie is a documentation specialist, business analyst, and project manager. She has a background in Art Conservation, and has worked as a sculpture conservator for The Getty Museum, LACMA and The Menil Collection. Laramie leverages her experiences of writing detailed technical reports for conservation projects and research for requirements gathering and documentation of database systems. She firmly believes that a well written requirements document is essential to the database life-cycle by providing detail and clarity regarding the client’s needs and the system’s capabilities. Laramie holds a BFA from Temple University and a MSc in Conservation from the University of Delaware.

Lee began creating FileMaker Pro solutions for clients in 1989, and has been a certified developer for every product release since FileMaker Pro 7. He began teaching FileMaker classes in 2004, and has been a FileMaker Authorized Trainer for the last 4 iterations of the official curriculum. In 2009 Lee founded SavvyData to focus on creating data visualization tools and training for the FileMaker community.

Always the technologist mentor, in recent years he has presented FileMaker how-tos at Macworld Expo and spoken at the last 4 FileMaker Developer Conferences. He also had a stint writing the regular Q&A column in Advisor Basics for FileMaker magazine, a good use of his Technical Communications degree. In his spare time he practices photography and flying small planes, occasionally at the same time.

Michael Frankel is the founder and president of Wizard Consulting Group, a Los Angeles-based FileMaker Application Development and Technology Consulting fim, and has been working with computers and technology for over 25 years. Michael started working with computers in 1984, and his passion for technology continues to this day.

He services a wide variety of FileMaker and non-FileMaker clients on the Macintosh & Windows platforms, and has a reputation as a fierce advocate for his clients interests, as a creative and technically-skilled database developer, and as a resourceful and tireless problem-solver. He also has specialized skills in integrating FileMaker with EDI and XML data sources.

In his spare time, he loves to listen to Jazz and Fusion music, watch Science Fiction movies, and play guitar.

Ray has a formal Computer Sciences background with a Bachelor's degree from Illinois Institute of Technology, and 22 years of related work experience. Ray has specialized in Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, and Enterprise Data Architecture for large companies and as a consultant. He has experience with almost all database software and has become technology neutral. He believes that a useful BI infrastructure is less dependent on a particular technology and more dependent on the design and intentions of the organization. He is an expert in SQL and performance tuning for Data Warehousing queries in Oracle, SQL Server and Teradata. Ray is an expert in running visioning, brainstorming & architecture sessions. He has wonderful war stories about doing projects for marketing departments of banks, credit card companies, airlines, biotech, telecoms, insurance companies, blood banks, and retail conglomerates.

Russ has written articles, presented at the FileMaker Developer Conference, taught many FileMaker Pro developers how to use XML and XSLT at seminars, and has implemented dozens of FileMaker — Web Service integration projects to customers worldwide.
